Who is Bronwyn Townsend?

Hi, I’m Bronwyn. I’m a freelance travel photographer and writer based in London, UK, but originally hailing from Sydney, Australia. I use words and photographs to tell stories, capture the essence of a place and hopefully inspire others to engage deeper with the world around them. I’ve come to appreciate the vast mysteries of this planet through my travels. From snorkelling with orcas in arctic Norway and hiking Australia’s red centre to navigating the cobbled streets of Europe. There’s nowhere I’d rather be than pushing the boundaries of my comfort zone in new locations.

I’ve written for publications including House of Coco Magazine, Lodestars Anthology and Seeker, and People of the Planet. I’ve also had photography published by Condé Nast Traveler (US), ELLE Magazine UK, and Suitcase Magazine. I was also the winner of the 2021 National Geographic Traveller UK travel writing competition, and have since gone on to write for the title.
